London Drugs Beauty Event 2016

 

Limo rides, canapes, cocktails, tons of beauty products…had a great time at the #LDBeauty Event.

Last night, I attended the London Drugs Beauty Event held for media and beauty influencers. This is my first year attending and I’ve heard about the epic events they’ve had in previous years. So, needless to say, I was excited to get the invite from their PR team a few months ago.

The night started out with a limo picking us up at a meeting spot then taking us to the event location in Vancouver. When we walked in, we were greeted by hosts who checked us in, gave us an empty shopping bag, followed by a photo-op, then we were served cocktails. Servers were walking around with canapes and more cocktail refills throughout the night. I looked around and quickly mapped out a plan in my head on how I’m gonna tackle every booth in the room.

[metaslider id=4711]I checked out every booth to learn about the products that were going to be available at London Drugs. It was like early Christmas for me, being spoiled with so many things to sample from every brand. Like a kid in a candy store for this beauty addict! Booth after booth, they were featuring some really great items that I can’t wait and try for myself. As the night went on, 1 arm was carrying my purse and phone so I can take pictures. The other arm lugging around almost 50lbs of products. No joke it got heavy. But I’m not complaining. Except that night in bed, when my left arm had shooting pains from carrying too much. Possibly dislocating my shoulder temporarily hahaha. Again, not complaining, as I stare down my bedroom floor looking at all my goodies. #heaven

[metaslider id=4828]London Drugs has been my number one store for purchasing NYX makeup. They have a wide selection of items available compared to other beauty stores and a majority don’t carry them at all. A few makeup companies that I was glad to see were Youngblood, Makeup Revolution and Kiss Cosmetics. I haven’t tried any of these brands before and so I’m curious to see how they work out.

My night ended with a solo limo ride back to my car downtown. I felt so special! Overall, the event was amazing and I’m looking forward to reviewing these products for you all. Thank you so much to London Drugs for inviting me and hosting this wonderful event.
