13 Dec Noughty Haircare Review
A few weeks ago I received a package from Noughty Haircare. They sent me a set of haircare products which included the ‘To The Rescue Shampoo and the Conditioner as well as the “Intensive Care’ Leave-in Conditioner. Before I even opened the package, I could already smell the products from the outside.
This set is perfect for frizzy, damaged hair and are made with 97% natural ingredients. Over the past 5 years, I’ve bleached it blonde, ombre then dyed back to black, then back to blonde, etc…you get the idea. Can’t make up my mind when it comes to color because I always want to change it. Not only that, I love to curl my hair and straighten it using a straightening iron. So end result, overly processed, frizzy, damaged and tangled hair. There are so many haircare products out there, but I’m very very picky when it comes to what I use. For starters, I always look at the ingredients at the back of each product to see what it contains. Pretty much 99% off the time I’ll pick up something that is organic or natural and really don’t even bother looking at the others. I do prefer to let my hair air dry so I can reduce the amount of heat I use on it. But what I hate most though, is if I don’t use the right products, my hair feels so fried, dry and super tangled. It lacks moisture and if I don’t control it by straightening or ironing, it would just look like I got electrocuted. There’s no way anyone can run their fingers through that mess. Seriously! At that point, I just give up and throw it in a bun. When I travel, I make sure to bring the right shampoo and conditioner.
As I mentioned above, these Noughty products are 97% natural, and they use the highest quality ingredients such as coconut oil, sea kelp, blue mallow flower and argan oil. They are also free from silicones, sulphates, petrochemicals and parabens. Remember when I said I look at the ingredients at the back, these are the top items I ALWAYS check before buying products, this includes skincare and makeup. If you’re gonna use something regularly, I believe it’s important to get the best and healthier versions. ‘To The Rescue Moisture Boost Shampoo and Conditioner‘ contains sweet almond and sunflower seed extracts, which helps with distressed hair and split ends. The Intensive Care Leave-In Conditioner contains shea butter and argan oil to nourish and repair locks.
My first impression was… WOW! Can I lather myself up with this? The scent is amazing! My bathroom smelled like heaven, the scent is so refreshing and it actually lasts. I know people always ask me “what’s a good shampoo and conditioner that smells good?”. Well, I can honestly say that this is one of them! My new favorite. It’s hard to describe the scent, but you can smell the sweet almond, shea butter and coconut mix. It’s very refreshing and it makes me smile when I smell it. I just absolutely love it, and it’s not the kind of overpowering, hurts your nose type of scent. You would have to grab one for yourself to experience it. After getting out of the shower, I immediately noticed that my hair was more moisturized and definitely a lot less dry and frizzy. The ingredients seem to lock in and instantly nourish the hair strands, leaving it feeling more protected. When I touch my hair it ‘feels’ like there’s a layer of film, not mucky or oily, just more hydrated. Just like when you apply lotion to your skin, you can tell the difference. After letting it air dry, I noticed my hair didn’t break easily. Having such damaged locks, when brushing through with fingers or a brush, my hair would break or fall out. It was definitely better after this. The moisture it left behind instantly made my hair stronger.
The Noughty Haircare line is made in the UK and are vegetarian and vegan friendly. There are different packs available depending on what your hair needs. Noughty products are suitable for all hair types INCLUDING wigs and extensions. How great is that?! If you love natural products that instantly moisturizes and protects your hair while leaving a lingering heavenly scent, then I absolutely recommend this. I am in love with the Noughty products and wish they had 1L sizes because I know I will go through these quick. I also wish they carry skincare products with these scents, I would definitely stock up on those too. If you want to grab your own, you can go online at www.noughtyhaircare.com or if you’re in Canada, you can find these at London Drugs. When you do grab your own, let me know how it works for you!
